After a wonderful summer vacation on Martha's Vineyard, he decided to fulfill his personal and professional dreams, and move there in 1991. He became an active member of the Martha's Vineyard Hospital medical staff, caring for patients in office and hospital settings including the critically ill, whilst serving on important joint hospital committees including Medical Executive, chaired the Quality Improvement and Ethics Committees and partook in Hospital Board meetings on providing best care and standards for the Island community. He continued with an active medical practice, for over 11 years, served on the Critical Care Committee, when along with his wife, blessed with new grandchildren, they both retired and returned to continue their lives and future on Martha's Vineyard.
